The Outdoor Place
The Outdoor Place was setup in 2015 to provide a safe outdoor environment for all to learn and explore (inclusive of those with SEN, learning difficulties, autism and from disadvantaged backgrounds). This is provided through Forest School and Bushcraft adventures in a small woodland near Truro and bespoke expeditions around the South West.
We also provide the opportunity to complete various awards:

Summer camp is a program for children or teens during summer months in many countries. Children and adolescents are called campers.
A Wonderfull Space To Explore
Set in a lovely calm environment with fully qualified and very experienced SEN / Behavioural management staff.
The Outdoor Place is a wonderful space for the young people to explore and learn whilst having the space they need to be them. The project is provided all year with a focused programme in the summer break, which also gives parents / guardians a welcome break from the long holidays! The Outdoor Place works with the local community providing an outdoor space for all to learn and explore (inclusive of those with SEN, learning difficulties, autism and disadvantaged backgrounds. Watching there self confidence and personal tolerance levels improve is a most rewarding experience for all. Through the various challenges and adventures we are able to help them learn about themselves whilst learning and understanding others.
It is great to see their ability to understand and respect others. Improved personal confidence and social skills. Greater life skills and ability to integrate in different aspects of society. Greater individual behaviour management and ability to understand others. Improved health and wellbeing. Improved motor skills. Greater knowledge and understanding of the environment around them.
Helping the young people to integrate within social setting. Greater understanding and knowledge and self awareness of own limitations and triggers in social settings.
Providing opportunities and a safe environment for those young people who may otherwise be excluded from education due to behavioural and environmental concerns.
